About the Artist

Hi, I'm Bre, a homeschooling mom, storyteller, and self-taught artist based in Wisconsin.

My journey with traditional art began in the fall of 2022, when I started writing a children's book and decided to try illustrating it myself. Every evening, I sat down to draw, sometimes clumsily, sometimes joyfully, but always with a sense of peace. By the time the book was finished, I had fallen in love with the process of making art. I didn't want to stop.

Since then, art has become a daily rhythm in my life. What started as a creative experiment has turned into an ongoing exploration of traditional media, especially acrylic paint. I'm drawn to portraits, surrealism, and abstract creations.

As a homeschooling parent, creativity is woven into most things I do, from the way my family and I learn together to the way I make space for art in the quiet corners of the day. My work is personal but open-hearted, and I love when it finds connection with others.
